Welcome to the Home Page of the European ITS Framework Architecture, often now known as The FRAME Architecture. The website contains various types of information, which are explained in Using this Website. The website contains two principal sets of information about the FRAME Architecture, the non-technical Why have an ITS Architecture, and the technical Creating an ITS Architecture.

The European ITS Framework Architecture is currently being maintained by the EC Funded Project E-FRAME (2008-11), which will extend the Framework Architecture for Cooperative Systems. This project has also taken over many of the tasks previously undertaken by the FRAME Forum for its duration. For more information, see the initial FACT SHEET on the E-FRAME Project.

The FRAME FORUM will take over ownership of the European ITS Framework Architecture from the European Commission and manage its dissemination and maintenance into the future.
